【摘要】:Adequatelydocumentedgeosciencedataarebeneficialtostudiesutilizingtraditionalandcomputertechnologyforconductingresourcesurveysandinanalyzingenvironmentalconcerns.Geosciencedatathatincludethestandardcoordinatespinpointthelocationoftheinformationonorbelowtheearth''ssurfaceandbythatestablishthedimensionalrelationshiptodataofasimilarnature(see5.2).Note68212;Someinvestigationsdestroythesampleintheprocess.Assuch,theinformationcannotbeduplicatedbyresampling.Thedataandtheoriginallocationofthetestedsamplemaybetheonlyremainingresult.Geosciencedatathatincludex201C;keyx201D;informationhasanenhancedcapabilityforacceptableverification,aseachadditionaldataitemstrengthenstheuniquenessforsingularidentification.Keydatacategoriesincludedforuniqueidentificationofthegeoscienceinformationconsistofpoliticalregimes,sourceofdata,andlocationcharacteristics(see5.3).Useofastandardizedminimumsetofdataelementsbyprojectinvestigatorsincreasetheusefulnessofthegeoscienceinformation,inthatthematerialcanmoreeasilybeinterchanged.Dataverification,essentialinqualitycontrol,canbemoreroutinewhengeosciencelocationsareaccuratelyidentified.Keyitemsallowforeaseofselectionbyplacingthegeosciencedataintologicalcategories,suchascounties,resourceextractionlocations,andsourceagencies.Datafilesorganizedbyuseofkeydataelements,whetherstoredincabinetsoracomputerfile,arelesscomplicatedtofind.Geosciencedataareusuallycollectedforanongoingproject,however,thevalueisgreatlyincreasedwhenthesedataareavailableforfuturestudies.1.1Thisguidecoversfactorstoconsiderfortheselectionoftheminimumsetofdataelementsrequiredfortheaccuratelocationandcatalogingofinformationcollectedforgeologicalscience(geoscience)investigations,whichincludesgeoecology.1.1.1Geoscienceinvestigationsincludesoilsurveys,foundationinvestigations,geologicstudies,hydrologicevaluations,environmentalappraisals,contaminationinquiries,archaeologicalsurveys,andotherstudiesthatinvolvethesoil,rock,andcontainedfluidsfromthelandssurfacetoanyexploreddepthunderground.1.2Auniquegeosciencedatalocation,onorbelowtheearth''ssurface,canbedescribedbyX,Y,andZcoordinatesandbythatmethodestablishthedimensionalrelationshiptodataofasimilarnature.Additionallocationinformationneededdependsuponthetypeofgeosciencedatacollectionlocality.1.2.1ThebasictypeisasinglepositiondescribedbyfiniteX,Y,andZcoordinates.TheX,Y,andZcoordinatesuniquelypositionthelocationonorbelowtheearth''ssurface.Note18212;Anexampleisthelatitudeandlongitudeinhorizontalcoordinatesandthealtitude(orelevation)inverticaldistanceofaground-waterlocationorsite.Datacollectedatthesite,forexample,waterlevels,aremeasuredbytheverticalintervalasreferencedtothealtitude.1.2.2AnothertypeoflocationisdescribedbyfiniteXandYcoordinatesthathasmultipleverticallypositionedZcoordinates.Thisisequivalenttothelocationtypedescribedin1.2.1,exceptthatmultipleverticaldimensionsarestatedasZcoordinates,ratherthanverticalintervals.Note28212;Anexampleislatitude,longitude,andmultiplealtitudesofasoilsamplinglocationorsite.Eachaltituderepresentsadifferentsamplingpositionthathasthesamelatitud......
